WITS Coaching Series - Balancing Work and Life: Finding Your Career Path

Date: Thu, 25 Apr 2024 09:00 - 11:30 GMT+1

Location: 19 Beckett Way Park West Business Park.

Partnered with Workhuman, with Guest Speaker Joanne Lee.

Career development is a journey and a lifelong process. It is not linear and is influenced by lots of factors, a lot of which are outside our control. Career development is not about the job itself. It’s about knowing yourself and honouring yourself through your work. Career development is an inside job.

This event will give you the gift of time, to step outside of your day to day demands and provide you with an opportunity to:

  • Reflect on your career to date and where you want to go
  • Think about how you can navigate your career while also dealing with the demands of everyday life
  • Create and own your career story
  • Learn from others and feel you’re not alone in dealing with this issue
  • Create your own career action plan

Our aim is to have as interactive a session a possible, with some initial presentations on career development strategies, then give you the opportunity, through individual reflection and breakout groups share your own experiences and learn from each other. Finally you will have time at the end of the workshop to write your action plan. You will also receive your own Career Development Workbook with some short reflective work to do before the workshop.
