Entrepreneurship for Women in Technology The Digital Hub 30/11/22

On 30th November 2022 The Digital Hub will host the ‘Entrepreneurship for Women in Technology’ event at The Digital Hub campus in Dublin 8.

Be inspired by the stories of women entrepreneurs and learn about how The Digital Hub is collaborating with enterprise and academic partners across Europe to facilitate the next generation of female entrepreneurs across STEM.

DATE: Wednesday, 30th November 2022

TIME: 3pm to 6pm (followed by networking and refreshments)

VENUE: Digital Depot, Roe Lane (off Thomas Street), The Digital Hub, Dublin 8, D08 TCV4 (Google Maps)

Join in for a panel discussion with Niamh Donnelly, Co-Founder and Chief Robotics Officer at Akara, Talita Holzer, CEO & Co-Founder, waytoB and Programme Manager at The Open Doors Initiative, Dervilla O'Brien, Founder at HealthBridge Technology, and panel moderator, Elaine Burke, Editor of Silicon Republic. The keynote speaker is TBC. The event will draw to a close with networking and refreshments.

About WITECH

WITECH is an EU Erasmus+ initiative that seeks to encourage female scientists, engineers and technologists across Europe to develop businesses based on their expertise. The Digital Hub, along with TU Dublin, are the Irish partners in WITECH.

A MOOC, or Massive Open Online Course, sits at the heart of WITECH. This free blended learning course builds skills and confidence in woman with STEM qualifications that can lead them to create their own innovative businesses. The MOOC is structured over three weeks and its modules cover Entrepreneurship and Management, Technology Entrepreneurship and Tech start-ups and hubs in technology entrepreneurial ecosystems. A Certificate of Accomplishment is awarded to those who successfully complete the course (European Qualifications Framework Level 6).

How to access the MOOC

To access the course, please first register at this link and then enrol here to the MOOC, where you can see the description of the MOOC and the teaser as well. If you have an institutional email account, please use this when enrolling. This course can be used by other academic institutions in their own modules, or by those with no academic affiliation.
