This year International Women’s Day was on Sunday 8 March 2020. The campaign theme was #EachforEqual. Celebrations included:
- The Technological Higher Education Assoication (THEA) celebrated IWD2020 with a great series celebrating women in research in the Institutes of Technology. Congratulations THEA.
- SCiFest celebrated IWD2020 with a video of some of the inspiring young women who make up 60% of the ScFest participants over the years. Do watch.
- Glanbia highlighted some of the women working in STEM in Glanbia Ireland and tagged WITS. Thank Glanbia Ireland.
We’re invited to make the #EachforEqual pose. Put your arms out front and STRIKE THE #EachforEqual POSE to motivate others and to make International Women's Day YOUR day.

3 March 2020 Dublin Tech Talks and Workhuman @ 1 pm Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin 8
Dublin Tech Talks & Workhuman are proudly celebrating Women’s International Day 2020 on Tuesday 3 March at Smock Alley Theatre. Book your tickets. Donations of €25 are suggested and all profits go to Saoirse Women's Refuge. Dr Andrea C Johnson of Workhuman and WITS Executive is one of the key speakers.
4 March 2020 NWCI Celebrate the Changemakers @ 10.30 am Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8
NWCI International Women’s Day event is 'Celebrate the Changemakers' with general election candidates and newly elected women TDs. The meeting will discuss the general election campaign, barriers for women to enter politics and priorities for women’s equality for the next Government. Register here
4 March 2020 Web Summit Internatuional Women's Day Meetup @ 6 pm The Black Bar, The Market Bar Fade St, Dublin 2
The Web Summit is hosting a meetup in celebration of International Women’s Day and Ireland’s women in tech community.
The gathering will bring together some of Ireland’s most successful Irish women in business, technology, media and entertainment. Special guests include:

Accenture hosts its 16th annual celebration of International Women’s Day on 5 March 2020. This year, the celebration event will continue to focus on Getting to Equal across all areas of inclusion & diversity. This is also a special year, as Accenture celebrates 50 years operating in Ireland. During the event, Accenture will explore Ireland’s equality journey over the past 50 years, and how it is closing the equality progress gap. Invitation only.
