Anne L'Huiller Katalin Karikó Narges Mohammadi Claudia Goldin
Four women have been awarded Nobel prizes in 2023. Two are in STEM:
- Anne L’Huillier is one of the three 2023 physics laureates
- Katalin Karikó is one of the two 2023 medicine laureates
Narges Mohammadi has been awarded the peace prize for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all.
Claudia Goldin has been awarded The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2023 for her work key drivers of gender differences in the labour market. Claudia Goldin’s research has given us new and often surprising insights into women’s historical and contemporary roles in the labour market.
