The GetGutsy Study

The GetGutsy Study at UCD Perinatal Research Centre is looking for participants. Are you a woman between 18-65 years who is currently not pregnant?

The GetGutsy study is a study on probiotics and health. We want to see if we can improve markers of health in women (e.g. blood lipids or immune markers) with probiotic capsules. The study is only 12 weeks long and involves taking a probiotic capsule once a day. There are no dietary or lifestyle changes required.

Women who take part in the study will receive a health screening which includes fasting a blood test and detailed body composition analysis so there is value to participating, other than contributing to women's health research. They will also have the option to have a consultation with a CORU registered Dietitian on completion of the study.
