Workhuman WITS Corporate Membership

Workhuman (formerly Globoforce)’s corporate membership of WITS was launched on Tuesday 12 February 2019 at Globoforce in Park West Dublin 12 with Minister of State for Higher Education Mary Mitchell O’Connor as the keynote speaker.
Minister Mary Mitchell O'Connor spoke about the role of women in STEM, commended the work of WITS, and questioned why young women are not progressing to leadership roles even though 60% of 30 to 34 year old women hold a degree compared to 47% of men. Michelle McDaid, Director of Software Engineering chaired the event.
Dr Marion Palmer of WITS spoke on ‘Working as a Woman in STEM’. She identified belonging, confidence and competence as three key areas for women and indeed all employees. She suggested how women can work, speak, learn and lead in the organisations. Based on WITS WITS TopTen Tips for Employers she suggested how organistions might work with women to rise to leadership roles.
Julie Hogan WITS Chair and Dr Marie Barrett WITS were present as were many of the Executive team of Workhuman including Jonathan Hyland, CTO Workhuman, and Niamh Graham VP Global Human Resources. Ronan O’Dunlaing, VP of Software Engineering, Dante Borillo, Director of Global IT Infrastructure and Dr Andrea Johnson, Director Global Business Systems also attended.
